What’s New?

January 2, 2021

//Obligatory New Year’s Post incoming//

2020 sucked, plain and simple.  I’m not going to re-hash what transpired, we all lived it.  We’re all STILL living it.  Instead, I’m going to focus on what’s going to be new in 2021 for this indie author!  New books, new adventures!

Book 3 of The Alchemist Trilogy is in the 4th draft stage, and husband/editor is plugging along to get it ready for a 5th draft, and then test readers.  I’m hopeful they’ll have it by mid-spring.  Which means *hopefully* a late-summer release.  You’ll get a title, cover, and teases way before then, though, don’t worry.  But timelines change, so just stay tuned.  If you’ve been following the saga of “The Alchemist: This Goddamn Book,” you’ll remember that this volume of the series has been the absolute hardest and most infuriating to write, so I can’t wait for you all to read the fruits of said frustration.  It was a hell of a ride, but I know it was worth it.  I hope it’s a fitting and satisfying conclusion to the story.

That being said…is it *really* a departure from the world of Ryris Bren?

NOT BY A LONGSHOT.

After Book 3 launches, there’ll be a backstory novel for a fan-favorite character, more on that at a later date.  It’s completely finished, test-read, and formatted.  It only needs its sibling to have its time in the sun before it can arrive!  So, look for that one late-2021.

And looking even further ahead…we’re not leaving Ryris’ world anytime soon.  I have two other side-projects in various stages of completion (one is 2/3 done, the other is a work-in-progress of short stories *hint given, I guess!*), plus I have at least three more ideas in the vault for various other Alchemist-y side endeavors.

I also have a completely new fantasy project in the beginning planning stages, as well as a sci-fi project!  I’m a busy gal!  And I still plan on having potions and ingredients available for purchase at conventions (when we can all safely attend again), and I’ve been toying with the idea of an online store.  The only snafu with that is the shipping of liquids in heavy glass vials/bottles.  But, I’m trying to figure out a way!  Stay tuned.

So, that’s it.  2020 blew, 2021 will be better.  It just has to be.  In the meantime, stay healthy, wear your mask, and keep on keeping on.  We’re all in this together, and we all have a lot to look forward to this in this new year.

Thank you all for sticking with me, supporting me, and enjoying my creations.  It keeps me going!

XOXO

January 7, 2020

Man, I’m really bad at updating.  *hides*  So, it’s a new year, and there’s all kinds of cool stuff planned for 2020!  This weekend is Midwinter Gaming Convention in Milwaukee (come by and buy some books and alchemy supplies!).  I’ve got a few more conventions planned for later in the year as well.  Book 3 is coming along…slowly.  I’m still hopeful it’ll be ready for purchase by the end of the year, but I don’t have a definite date as of yet!  I’m planning a new venture with my alchemy ingredients and potions as well, so stay tuned!  It’s going to be a fab year, I just know it!

April 12, 2019

Whew, it’s been a while since my last update!  A million apologies.  I’ve just been, you know, busy getting the next book ready for publication!  And guess what?  It’s coming out next week!

The Alchemist: Dark Horizon.  Book Two of the Alchemist Trilogy.  Available in paperback and ebook April 24th!

Impending war.

Lives have been lost, and the blood of the people flows fresh across the Vrelin Empire. Beaten, and without the person who means the most at his side, Ryris Bren’s life has been tossed into a tailspin. He is now faced with a weighty decision that will ultimately decide not only the fate of the world, but the fate of the one he loves beyond all reason. Will he be able to summon the strength to revolt against the evil scourge and take back what has been stolen from mankind? From him?  With new friends, and wielding impressive new magic, he quickly realizes he is so much more than just a simple alchemist.  He will not give up.  He cannot fail.  The time to sit back and watch has passed, for Ryris’ destiny has given him no choice but to answer the call.

For himself.  For the world.  For love.

Check back next week for the purchase link!
